How was your trading today?? 

Well if we talk about today's stock market till opening to closing : Market started trading with defined levels of 5250 and 5330. In midday session around 3.00 Pm, markets were trading with robust gains at and consumer durables and oil & gas are the main drivers of the upward movement. At last, the markets closed with significant gains today but the upward movement was confined to largecap stocks only, broader markets faced severe selling pressure. Upward movement in Reliance Industries gave a boost to oil & gas indices while sugar stocks moved up on the expectations that they would get government's nod to increase export. Other top performers include consumer durable, FMCG and IT while losers include realty, metal and healthcare. The Sensex closed at 17727, up 177 points from its previous close, and the Nifty shut shop at 5320, up 42 points. The CNX Midcap index was up 0.1% and the BSE Smallcap index lost 0.3% in today's trade. The market breadth was negative with advances at 513 against declines of 768 on the NSE. The top Nifty gainers were ITC, RCom, RIL and Reliance Capital and the biggest losers included Maruti Suzuki, Cipla, IDFC and Grasim.
