Making Videos

Two programs that was mentioned in the seminar are Windows Moviemaker and Audacity. I have tried using both tools before and I would like to review  and include both here on my VA training journal.

Using Windows  Moviemaker, I have created lots of videos for my family before. I love the simplicity of the program because it is quite easy and user-friendly although some of my friends recommend other tools.

Adding sounds to my vids require a sound-editing software and as mentioned I have tried using Audacity. Cutting, merging and volume control is easy with this tool.

On the succeeding days, I will be posting the slide tutorials. But for now, I have to prepare the concept and the materials needed (like photos, music, text etc.) for the video.

Market Today Outlook :-

Today at the last trading day of the day, the Indian market closed on a negative note, the market traded coppy all day, on the back of weak global cues. If we talk about the volumes in the market, that was very thin in today's trade may be due to the new year heading :). Market close today : Sensex closed at 15417, down 126 points (provisional) and Nifty shut up at 4624.3, down 29 points from the previous close. CNX Midcap index was up 0.7% and BSE Smallcap index was up 0.4%. All over today the market breadth was negative with advances at 623 against declines of 654 on the NSE.

How To Create Forms Using Google Docs

I have tried creating  online forms before with other form providers. Until  I've discovered that Google offers the same service. Exploring Google Forms further, I've learned that  you can easily share  the form to clients or friends and it is quite easy and simple. JSPL is a fresh short again : it is a fresh short again. It has broken down yesterday on fairly heavy volume. It is unlikely that it will suddenly reverse and start going higher, so a lot of stocks, which are up 5-6-7%, today up on short covering something like Fortis or Mcleod and these moves are not sustainable. Like yesterday you remember Jain Irrigation was up 10%, today it is down 6%, so chances are that these moves will not sustain.

Stock Market Latest News

Markets provisionally fall 1.3%; RIL drops

Mumbai: Shares provisionally fell 1.3% on Thursday as concerns about growth prospects deepened on the back of a weakening rupee, while Europe’s debt crisis continued to build worries. Energy major Reliance Industries along with private-sector lenders ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank led the losses.

The main 30-share BSE index provisionally closed down 208.83 points at 15,519.02, with 20 of its components closing in the red.

The 50-share NSE index provisionally closed 1.27% lower at 4,646.25.

Rupee weak on local equities, importer demand

The rupee stayed weak on Thursday due to a sluggish local share market along with subdued global risk appetite ahead of an Italian debt auction, a key event which is expected to give cues on Europe’s economic outlook.Dollar demand from oil importers for month-end payments and on account of defence payments kept the selling pressure on rupee, traders said.

However, a big slide in the rupee was unlikely as the Reserve Bank of India is likely to step in and keep the local unit’s fall under check by selling dollars, they said. The Reserve Bank of India is suspected to have intervened in the foreign exchange market on Wednesday helping rupee recover some losses.

At 2:37 pm, the rupee was at 53.33/34 to the dollar, weaker than Wednesday’s close of 53.07/08, and the unit is likely to stay in range of 53.25 to 53.50 in rest of the session.

India’s benchmark share index was down 0.4% while the euro fell to a fresh 10-year low against the yen on Thursday, driven by selling from Japanese retail investors and exporters.

How To Use Coreldraw X3 to Create a Blog Header

Earlier today, I've finished the  slide presentation on 'How To Use Coreldraw X3 to Create a Blog Header'. I want my slides to be saved automatically while working online so I have  utilized Google Presentation. 


Making graphic works using Coreldraw is quite easy for me but it  took me time because I have to prepare the step by step procedures in order  to come up  with 40+ slides. Graphic jobs is really  time-consuming but I love graphic designs more than just clerical jobs.

Nifty Trends|Analysis for 2012

Nifty in 2012 that is in next year may sink to 3800-4000 according to the technical analysis and Charts giving signals, it is recommended to buy Nifty more and more in 2012.

Indian market has been hammered into pulp this year and there is a growing fear that this is going to last longer than expected. Experts are also worried that the Indian situation could be worse if global economy loses hope of a recovery.

This has left experts ringing more warning bells. In 2012 Nifty may even sink to 3800-4000 level with a little hope of rising to 5500-6000 by 2012 end. 

However, there is a silver lining too to these dark clouds. Shah (stock analyst expert) feels that though it may be a turbulent volatile time but there is going to be a great buying investment opportunity in 2012 to capitalise on.

It is expected more rate cut by the Reserve Bank of India in 2012 and the gross domestic product (GDP) is likely to grow around 6.8% in the first half of FY13.

Best bets of 2012

As an investment strategy, Shah advises to focus on midcap banks like J&K Bankand Karur Vysya Bank . Pointing out that worst is probably over for Infosys , he adds that it is better to avoid midcap IT stocks.

Furthermore, Shah prefers buying Bharti , Titan and HUL on dips. He recommends selling BHEL and L&T while it is a clear 'avoid' from capital goods.
