Link building is a popular strategy among all the bloggers. It is a key strategy to index a blog in search engines. It is a ongoing process and it will never ends. It will ends only when you stop blogging any more. So once I discussed about my link building strategy to bring up my search engine rank.

Depending on the strength of back links and anchor texts, search engines decide the place for your blog. Google is the biggest search engine on web. It decide where your blog should be appeared on their result page. But links are not the sole factor that determine the place of your blog on search engines. So link building is not the sole way to promote your blog. As always I am saying “Content is the King”. Without high quality content, no point of running a link building campaign to a blog/website. To maintain the quality of content we also made some changes to guest posing rules. We discussed why we change those rules on our previous post.

Oh… it seems we are deviating our main topic. Let’s get back in to the track. Yes… most people are lazy even though they are signing up with blogging. And some have only limited time to allocate for blogging. But they love blogging and they expect to earn tons of money by blogging. As I mentioned earlier link building is one of the key strategy to get higher number of search traffic. But how those people make links even they don’t have time to make an article for their blogs? What to do that is bad luck know? No, they have alternative methods link building. One of most effective and easy method of link building is out sourcing of your link building campaign to a third party. They will do the rest for you. But be careful not to get caught in to some link spammers.

Who are link spammers?

Link spammers are the companies or individual people who send thousands of links to different website including non related websites. For the easiness of your link building strategy, you will uses third party company which will carryout your link building campaign for you. But for their easiness, they will use automated programs to build links for you. That is the simple explanation.

What will happen when they spam?

You may think once they send to thousands of websites, I’ll get thousands of back links for my blog. Yes, in one hand it is correct until those automated programs hit on a bad place. Bad place means, when they spam search engines, especially Google with your link, what Google do is banning of your website. Google don’t want to know whether you have done this or any other person has done this behalf of you. They will ban your blog address without any query.

This is the most important part of this post. Almost all are like to earn money by blogging without doing any hard work. But I am totally differ from those people. I like to work and earn. Following are few facts you must consider before out source your link building campaign to a third party. All your blog success is depend on their hands.

#1. How long they are performing at the market

You are going to spend your hard earn money for your link building strategy. So you must know what company you are going to hire and why you are going to hire that company?  And how long this company is performing and what are the results of their link building strategy. Also you should know why don’t you select any other company rather than selecting this particular company for your link building campaign. It is very important to say, don’t rely on those self made testimonials. Most of them are absolutely wrong.

#2. Are they use manual methods to build links or automated methods

This is one of the most important point to know. The manually built natural looking links are more search engine friendly than the automated, unnatural links. Those manually build natural looking links works better for SEO and it helps to climb your blog up on search engines. Other important point is some automated programs are considered as spam methods. So ask specifically whether they are using manual or automated method to build your links.

#3. Make a small research for cost of your link building campaign

There are hundreds of SEO companies on web. Their charges are way differ from each other. Sometimes this may be due to the country they are running for. Anyway you must compare those pricing packages before ordering your link building campaign. High price is not necessarily means high quality backlinks.

#4. Don’t go behind brand name

Now a days people go behind brand names all the time. But that big giant may not be the best in market. So always read reviews before you buy a package. Some cheaper companies do better job than those branded companies. Most of the time those branded companies out source their orders in to small firms. They may not perform well for you.

#5. Try out a sample link building package to analyse the quality of the links

It is better to try out a sample package before you jumped it to the well. High quality links in a sample package will not recommend you a high quality links in your link building campaign. But you can still get some idea on their program’s quality before you out source your link building campaign.

#6. Learn how to measure the quality of a link

It is better you know how to measure the quality of a back link before you buy the package from that SEO company. Learn how to do it. Otherwise they will cheat you with low quality backlinks.

#7. Contact an agent by phone call rather than using a chat

This is another must point. You need to discuss with an agent before paying for the  link building package. That will build the trust. And also you can explain your specific requirement to the agent who is going to do the job for you.

Those are very important factors you should know before you hire a SEO company to build links for your blog/website. It will save your money and provide you high quality links. But I want to stress you one important thing. Google always love natural links.

You may ask what SEO company I am using to build my back links. Trust me, I am not using any SEO company to build backlinks for me. That is because I don’t want to spam the web. “High quality backlink” is a term we can’t forget, while we are considering on SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Almost all the webmasters uses this term while they are speaking on SEO. It is so popular. But most of the youngsters asks us “What is a  high quality backlink?” , “how do I get a high quality backlink” and “How to measure the quality of a backlink?”. So I searched to provide a simply described source on above mentioned topics. But I couldn’t find any useful and simply described article on these topics. So I thought to make a post to answer these questions by myself in simple terms.

What are the factors which determined the quality of a backlink?

#1. Page Rank of the blog/website which gives you a backlink

Page Rank (PR) is one single vital factor which determine the quality of a backlink. If you have a backlink from higher PR page, it will be considered as a high quality backlink. The search engines prefer sites with high quality back links rather than the sites with poor quality back links. Hundreds of poor quality back links may be equal to one high quality backlink. So what you need to do is make more back links from sites above PR 3. This will improve your search engine visibility.

2. The relationship of the content of that site to your site

A backlink from same niche sites are considered as high quality backlinks. Just think you are writing on mobile phones blog. But you have a backlink from a cosmetic blog. That particular back link is not considered as a high quality backlink. But think you have a backlink from another mobile site with higher page rank instead of cosmetic site, then that particular backlink is considered as high quality backlink. You got my point?

3. Quality of the content of the blog that provide backlink

The next important factor which related to quality of a back link is the content of the niche site. If you have a link from a low quality content, it can’t be considered as high quality back link. But just think you have a link from a site which consists of rich related content, it will be the ideal for you to climb the ladder on search engine ranking.

4. Number of out going links that your niche site consists of

The number of out going links that your niche site have will play a vital role in the quality of a back link. If you have a backlink from a website which has thousands of out going back links, the link you got is not considered as a high quality backlink. If your niche site consists of limited number of out going links, the links that you got has a higher value. That is one reason why we are not providing more than two links for a guest post. That is why we are not accepting spam comments. We need to maintain the quality of the blog to provide high quality backlinks to our guest authors.

5. Type of the domain name

By mentioning the type of the domain name, what I meant is whether your links are from a TLD (Top Level Domain name or from a Sub domain name. Search engines gives more weight on TLDs. They consider backlinks from TLDs are higher quality than those from sub domains. That is one of the reasons that Google webmaster tools is measuring the amount of back links from TLDs. So always try to get a backlink from TLD.

6. Extension of the domain

This is also an important factor in SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Most SEO experts are telling links from [dot]gov, [dot]org, [dot]edu are higher quality than the backlinks from other domain extensions. But by my experience it is not that easy to get back links from .gov and .edu domains. If you can get back links from those extensions it may be a good move in your SEO strategy.

The above mentioned factors will determine the quality of a backlink. The next problem most people ask is “How could I get high quality backlinks?” But what I feel is you already know how to get those. I’ll listed them out for you,

The Next thing you will asks from me, may be how to measure the quality of a backlink? and what are the tools that we can use to measure it?  aren’t you? The answer is there are no tools to measure it. All the tools are biased. So no point of trying to search a tool for measuring the quality of a back link.

Almost all webmasters use forum posting as a tool in SEO, especially in off page optimization. Posting on forums gives do follow backlinks to your site, once the forum page is indexed on Google. On the other hand it will provide you direct targeted traffic to your blog/website. So forum posting is a must know technique to generate a brand on web. But always you should keep in mind not to spam the forum; otherwise admin will kick your butt out from the forum.

Creat Backlink to Increase Traffic | Powerful high quality Do-Follow backlinks by Guest Posting

Guest posting is one of the most effective SEO strategy to build backlink rich website/blog. Amount of backlinks to your site will decide the place of your website/blog on SERP(Search engine result page)

Page Rank is an important fact to decide the place of your site on SERP. Actually it measures the value of your site content to Google. One of my previous posts addressed on Reasons to drop Google Page Rank. So I am not going to discuss it again.

What is Guest Posting?

Guest posting is considered as submission of your articles to another website with the purpose to publish it with a backlink to original source or the author. You should submit original content to the publisher. Otherwise your articles will be ignored. Most of the webmasters allow placing a link to the original article source as a do-follow link. Do-follow links play a vital role as backlinks to your website since Google bots can come through those links to index your content.

How to select sites for guest posting?

Selection of a site for guest posting is vital to get high quality back links and reasonable traffic. High quality backlinks will provide the foundation to develop a strong website. So selection of sites for guest posting is vital.

To get high quality backlinks you should select a blog/website which consists of following qualities.

1.    Website should have a Google Page Rank

It is better to select a blog/website withGoogle PR of Three (3) or higher. Then you get PR3 backlinks pointing towards your blog/website.

2.    Website should allow you to put minimum of Two Do-Follow backlinks

The place of the backlinks is not a big issue. Most webmasters ask you to put your links inside the “Authors Signature”at the bottom of the article. It is more than enough to get high quality backlinks. But make sure to get Do-Follow links. No-Follow links are not very helpful in Search engine ranking.

This is a must. Your post content shouldbe relevant to the content of guest posting site. As an example if you are writing on computer parts it is better to select a website/blog consist of technology stuff rather than funny stuff.

 How to write an effective Guest Post?

1.    Write original content

The original content is the most important aspect of guest posting. Original content will add a value to your post. The copied content will not be published by most webmasters including me. Remember guest posting is a win-win process. So both parties should have an advantage.

2.    Stick to the terms and conditions given by the website

Most websites provide an author’s agreement that you need you accept in order to submit your articles. You need to obey the conditions that they have given. As an example check the Author’sagreement that I use.

3. Don’t forget to add the Do-Follow backlinks inside Author’s signature section

This is what you want by making guest posts. So never ever forget to add your links with anchor texts inside the Author’s signature.

4.    Use Keywords as Anchor texts

Find the anchor texts related to your niche and add them as your links inside the Authors signature box. This will help you to rank your keywords. You can select your keywords by using Google Keyword tool.

5.    Stick to the style of writing on particular site

Always stick to the style of writing on the site you selected to make guest posts. Because the readers on that site likes to read the articles which consists of same style.

6.    Always introduce yourself

It is very important to introduce your self to the community. Then they will remember you. So write at least 2-3 sentences about you too.

Why we changed guest posts rules on Techblaster.NET

Earlier we were accepting guest posts more than 500 words. Recently we decided to accept the guest posts more than 700 words. After implementing this new rule, few of the guest authors asked me, why I am using 700 words as a cut off for guest posts. Is there any special at 700 words. They further mentioned that most of the bloggers accept the guest posts more than 500 words, why can’t I accept guest posts with 500 words. So I decided to write a post on why, how and what I am looking on guest posts, to answer those guest bloggers.

#1. Number of Words that Guest Posts Consists of

The posts less than 700 words will be rejected even though they are high in quality. We counted this 700 words without the authors bio section. That mean the content or the body of the guest posts must be at least 700 words in length.

Most of the guest bloggers are freelancer writers. Almost all of them are doing online jobs. As an example most of them are doing their own jobs at freelancer.com, odesk.com and etc. From those sites they get jobs to submit articles as SEO jobs. Some are working for online article submission companies. From there also they get article submission jobs. Most of those jobs ask them to submit articles on PR (Blogs with Google Page Rank) blogs. The employers ask them to write a post of 500 words (Usual amount is 500 words) and publish it on a PR blog. Then what the freelancer writers do is they just write a post with 500 words and send it to us.

Nevertheless to say most of those articles are in low quality. It can even ruin your blog. It will turn your visitors in to your competitors blog. That is because of no one is willing to read a low quality article. Since most freelancer jobs are consists with 500 words, they all make 500 words guest posts. They are very lazy to make it up to 700 words. This is one reason we increased our word limit to 700 words. Then we will not get anymore low quality guest posts.

#2. Effect on Guest Posts due to Google algorithm updates

With the Google algorithm updates, it seems Google is more and more loving towards the content rather than links and SEO. The Panda and Penguin updates, both are more focused on content rather than blog promotion strategies. Simply Google is more and more looking for words. So it seems Google will bring up blogs with more words/content in their SERP (Search Engine Result Page). So the spam posts with few words filled with key words will not be effective anymore. Keyword stuffing is not a strategy for blog promotion. So We decided to add more content to a post rather than adding unnecessary keywords, links or images. As a result we increase the minimum word limit of our guest post to 700 words.

#3. To achieve our targets

We have two main targets. One is to provide high quality information to our readers (That is you). Other is to provide high quality backlinks to our Guest authors. By adding minimum word count of 700 words we think we will be able to achieve our first target, that is provision of high quality information to you. Because of we believe that the people who can write guest posts more than 700 words are the people who really want a backlink from  us. They are the people who can write guest posts without any grammatical errors. Then we can provide data as it is, to you. At the same time we believe the people who are willing to write 700 words guest posts are not lazy guys. We need active people who can reply to the comments on their guest posts. Specially we love to have guest posts from bloggers. Bloggers really want backlinks to develop their blogs unlike freelancer writers. The traffic they get all depend on the quality of the post.

The second target of ours is the provision of high quality back links to our guest bloggers or guest authors. To provide high quality back links we should have a blog consists of high quality content. And as I heard recently Google don’t like too many out going links from a blog page. And they like that the links are related to the content of the site. So here after we decided to add the links that are closely related to our niche. We will check out going links manually and only allow the links which are closely related to our niche. And also those out going links should lead the readers to high quality content sites. We will never allow affiliate links inside our guest posts to maintain the highest quality of the guest posts.

#4. To stop spam Guest posts on our site

On the other hand most of the people are used to make posts with article spinners. This is the worst scenario. It is very difficult to find whether this an article is generated by a article spinner or not. But we manually review and checked them for plagiarisms and if we detected and copied content we will disapprove those posts immediately and remove the membership of the writer on the spot. At the moment we use several premium tools to check for copied content.

If you could understood why we are doing all this, then you will surely make guest posts on us. Our idea is to provide the highest quality back link for our guest bloggers blog. To maintain that highest quality we have to implement these rules on our blog. My advice is maintain this kind of strategy on your blog too. Even though it closely resemble to Digg, it is little bit easy to get traffic from Reddit than Digg. This social bookmarking site consists of a Front page similar to Digg. This is the most important page for all the webmasters. It consists of top 25 links. All are looking to bring their posts on to Front page of Reddit. It all depends on thenumber of votes you earn from Reddit members. As I describe earlier it required minimum of 20-30 votes to reach Reddit front page.

Subreddits can be called as sections of Reddit. Simply several subreddits collectively make Reddit. All the top stories from subreddits will appear on Reddit front page. For this process you need less number of votes. So my advice is to post your stories on subreddits. Then it is easy to bring it on to Reddit front page.

According to my observations usually popular posts can remain on the front page about 20-24 hours. But this is not always true. It depends. Then it slowly descends to the second and third pages.

How to get more blog traffic from Digg

Digg is another well-known social bookmarking site and a user friendly platform. There is millions of users visit Digg per day. Those people are looking for good content to read. If you have good and original content to post you will get thousands of hits. It seems very easy, isn’t it? No, this is not that easy to bring traffic from Digg. So it is unlike Twitter since you can drive people to your website using Twitter is easy. But if you know the method of driving traffic from Digg, it will be an easy way to bring tons of visitors to your blog/website.  I have explained the methods below to drive tons of traffic from it.

Digg consists of different news rooms and separate front pages for each news room. Then there is a page called Top News. Your target should be to bring up your story to the Digg Top News page. How to do it? Once you Digg a story it first appears on the News Wire of that particular news room. Depending on the response of other Digg users it gets promoted to Front Page of that news room and then to Top News. For this promotion you need to get Diggs from other Digg members. If they feel your post is good they will Digg it. So you need more followers to get the maximum out from Digg.

Well, now you know what to do just after digging a post on Digg. Simply you need maximum number of Diggs to get it to Top News page. If it promoted to Top News you will get not thousands but millions of visitors to your blog/website.

Following are few tips on how to get traffic from Digg;

1.    Complete your profile

No need to say, in any social network you must fill your profile with related info. You must add your blog/website link in to your profile.

2.    Use appropriate username

Your user name must match with the content you are posing on Digg. If you are posting SEO tips and tricks it is better to use a username as SEO Guru, SEO Expert or something like that.

3.    Be an active member on Digg

Always read other peoples Diggs and Digg them on Digg. And don’t forget to comment on the stories posted by other members and followers. If you do so, others will dothe same for your posts.

4.    Digg, comment and Digg comments

You should not only Digg others posts but also it is better to make a comment on that particular post. You can also digg the good comments by thumb up to a specific comment

5.    Never Digg low quality content
