Indian Stock Market Today closed in Red. In morning the market opened on a firm note and after that the market slipped and nifty gave a very low at 4946 the deepest level in the early morning itself. Today the sensex also slipped post freak trade. Nifty hits lower circuit following some erroneous orders - and despite a fairly strong recovery in late afternoon trade thanks to a firm trend in European markets, ended the session with notable losses.
Nifty Closing Session Today : The Nifty closed at 5741.40, down 46.20 points or 0.8%, after plunging to 4888.20
Sensex closing Session today : The BSE Sensex closed at 18,938, down 120 points over the previous close. Day's high: 19,137; Day's low: 18,757
Dollar / Rupee is at 51.85, up 0.21% ; Euro / Rupee is at 67.46, up 0.16% and Pound / Rupee is at 83.90, up 0.15%.
