Bollywood on-screen character Jiah Khan was discovered dead at her home in Mumbai in a clear suicide, police said on Tuesday. She was 25.
Khan was discovered hanged in her room on Monday night, a Mumbai police official said.
Khan made her Bollywood make a big appearance with Ram Gopal Varma's "Nishabd" in 2007, playing the 18-year-old hero inverse Amitabh Bachchan in a film inexactly dependent upon Vladimir Nabokov's standard novel "Lolita".
"Never ever seen a debutant on-screen character with more spunk and more spirit than Jiah when i was administering her in Nishabd," movie producer Varma said on Twitter.
Khan, whose legitimate name was Nafisa Khan, was conceived in New York and acted like an adult in London. In spite of the fact that "Nishabd" sank at the Bollywood box office, Khan later assumed supporting parts in two blockbusters -Ghajini (2008) and Housefull (2010).
