Indian markets shut on account of Maharashtra Day

The BSE Sensex ended at 17,318 rising by 0.8% or 131 points. It had earlier touched a day’s low of 17,195 and a day’s high of 17,359. It opened at 17,195.
The NSE Nifty settled at 5,248 up by 39 points or 0.75%. It touched a day’s low of 5,210 and day’s high of 5,262.
