Indian Stock Market traded on a short note as recommended in the morning pre-market session and closed with moderate declines. Today them market traded very low and the worst performers were realty and power. Not only Indian stocks but European shares always have a fall today. 

* The Sensex ended at 17,846, down by 38 points or 0.2% over the previous close. It had earlier touched a day’s high of 17,912 and a day’s low of 17,800. It opened at 17,827. Nifty shut shop at 5413, down 8 points or 0.2%. It touched a day’s low of 5,395 and a day’s high of 5,433.

Losers today : Bharti Airtel, IDFC, Sesa Goa, NTPC, Sterlite Industries, PNB, Tata Power, HDFC and RIL.

Top Gainers : Ranbaxy, BPCL, BOB, Infosys, Dr Reddy’s, Coal India and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Intraday Trading Tips 23 August :-

• Hold United Spirits with a stop loss of Rs 880
• Buy NMDC for 15-20% gains in 6-8 months
• Buy United Spirits at Rs 920-930 with a 1-3 month target of Rs 1050-1060 and stop loss of Rs 890
• Buy BHEL with a target of Rs 260 and stop loss of Rs 222.40
• Sell HDIL with a target of Rs 70 and stop loss of Rs 86
