Indian Stock Market on Friday that is yesterday closed in Red. After opening on a cautious note and trading in a tight band for about a couple of hours, the Indian stock market drifted lower on Monday as investors chose to take some profits ahead of the central bank's monetary policy review. A weak trend in global market amid concerns about the U.S. fiscal cliff and doubts about the near term outlook for global economies contributed as well to the market's decline. A downward revision in India's growth forecast weighed as well.

Nifty Closing Session on Today : NSE Nifty closed at 5,858, down 21 points over the previous close. Day’s high: 5,886; Day’s low: 5850
Dollar / Rupee was at 54.85, up 0.67%; Euro / Rupee was at 72.18, up 0.69% while Pound / Rupee was at 88.88, up 1.01%.
