After a firm start and a subsequent good spell in positive territory, the market retreated a bit around mid afternoon but recovered swiftly to end the session on a strong note. The mood was a bit cautious at times, with a section of investors moving on to the sidelines, choosing to wait for the release of second quarter GDP data, due on Friday.
Capital goods stocks were among the most impressive gainers. Realty and power stocks were the other star performers of the session. Select metal, oil, PSU and information technology stocks too moved higher. ◄•••❂❂❂❂❂❂

Sensex closing Session: Sensex raised 114 or 0.56% points to close at 20,534.91.
Nifty Closing Session: Nifty closed at 6,091.85, up 34 points from previous close.
