BUDGET-2012-Highlights
1) Service tax raised to 12% from 10%
2) Excise duty raised to 12% from 10%
3) Large car to attract upto 27% duty (upto 24% excise duty)
4) Income tax :-
Upto 2 lakh income exempted from tax
Income between 2-5 lakh p.a-10% tax
Income between 5-10 lakh p.a -20%tax
Income Above 10 lakh p.a -30 % tax
5) No change in corporate tax
6) Medicine treating cancer and HIV become cheaper
7) A/C ,Fridge ,Phone bills to be cost more Luxury items ,eating out and air fares increased.
8) No advance tax require for senior citizens
9) Diamonds ,Gold ,imported cycles,cement,electronics and buying house to be cost more.
