Nifty, NSE, BSE Closing on 21 March :-

The markets closed with significant gains today with all sectoral indices closing positive. Capital goods, realty, banking and power were the lead gainers in today's session and and metal and IT, too, closed with significant gains. The Sensex closed at 17602, up 285 points from its previous close, and the Nifty shut shop at 5365, up 90 points. The CNX Midcap index closed with 2.1% gain while the BSE Smallcap index was up 1.2% in today's trade. The market breadth was positive with advances at 1022 against declines of 399 on the NSE. The top Nifty gainers were JP Associates, Reliance Infra, Ranbaxy and Axis Bank while the biggest losers included Cairn India, Hindalco, Sun Pharma and ONGC.
