Heavy buying in blue chip stocks from across various sectors, presumably by foreign institutional investors, amid hopes the rupee will stabilise a bit following recent measures by the central bank, lifted the key indices Sensex and Nifty to an upbeat close on Friday.
The start was a bit listless with investors appearing a bit confused about the direction following last two sessions' impressive gains, but stocks slowly found their way up past mid morning and there was no looking back for them thereafter.◄•••❂❂❂❂❂❂
